Dear Cynthia,  I just found out that Dick has passed away.  Please accept my sincerest condolences to you and your family. Lots of memories from 65 years ago.  May G-d comfort you in this time of your grief.

Dear Cynthia.
If you look up the word "mensch" in a dictionary or encyclopedia, there is a picture of Richard. And if you look up "functional family", there are the Morins, including the grandchildren. What a tribute! I shall miss my friend and colleague of 48 years but knowing his "memory will serve as a blessing" will keep us all going. Much love, Alan Waldman

You met Richard, you saw "The Man". He was not an illusionist with pretensions added. He did not need them. You saw eyes showing "welcome, glad to meet you." open friendship, honesty. Ethics was written all over him. Richard set the standard.

Dick was an awesome and vibrant person. He lived life to the fullest and I am proud to have called him a friend. He was a proud member of the Metro Government Traffic Commission. God Bless and keep him.

What a wonderful person.I will never forget one of the greatest friends in my life.He has taught me so much in the last three years.Cynthia was always on his mind as were his children when we were together on the trips we made for Crest Cadillac.

I am forever grateful to you and Dick for taking me and Michael in for the Jewish holidays while we were at Vanderbilt and bringing us so much laughter, joy and comfort during those first years away from home. The same feelings come to me as I think through all the memories I have of Dick. My heart is with you today.

Dear Cynthia and family,
Richard was an amazing mentor to me as a young educator more than 40 years ago. He remained a role model for me all the years since. He was a true gentleman and mensch, had a great sense of humor, and cared so deeply about people. Throughout my life I have tried to emulate him in so many ways. He was often on my shoulder during tough times as well as times of joy and celebration.
Richard will be missed by colleagues, friends, and students. He touched so many lives and the world will be less whole without his presence.

Dear Cynthia, Our hearts are broken and thoughts and prayers are with you and your dear family.  Richard made a difference, will always be remembered and we are both eternally grateful to him for all he did for us.  His memory will forever be a blessing.

A great man and my friend for the last forty-seven years, Dick was a champion of Jewish education and a champion of many other worthy causes. He was so reliable, it's nearly impossible to imagine him not with us. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
