

Richard Leroy Reeves of Nashville TN passed away on Sunday September 14 at the age of 87. He was born on June 26, 1938, in Wheeling West Virginia where he grew up until joining the United States Air Force.
He worked as a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service for 27 years. He was actively involved in his church, wood working and the lives of his family. He loved Country and Gospel music and could play all musical instruments.
He is preceded in death by his parents William & Ann Reeves, brothers, Robert Reeves, William Reeves Jr., Harold Reeves, John Reeves and sisters, Barbara Reeves and Phyllis Reeves.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Sara Reeves, sons Stephen Reeves, Tony Reeves, daughter Cheryl Reeves and daughter-in-law Cynthia Reeves. He is also survived by grandsons David Reeves, James Reeves, Christopher Reeves and Tony Reeves as well as 8 great grandchildren and four great great grand children.
The family would like to thank the staff at Alive Hospice Murfreesboro TN for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. They went above and beyond to make sure our family felt loved and respected and were a true blessing in this emotional time.
The family would like to thank all the folks who called, texted, emailed their condolences and heartfelt love for the man known as Dad, Grandpa or Great Pa. He lived a full life, never met a stranger and had genuine love and compassion for his family and friends. He was a Veteran, hard worker and a very talented and creative man. He dearly loved his wife as well as his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy that will proudly live on through the lives of his family.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday September 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
