Born on September 21, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee, Robbie lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and service to others. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and dedicated the majority of her professional career to pharmacy, where she faithfully cared for her patients with kindness, knowledge, and a gentle spirit.
Robbie believed in giving back to the community that she loved. She faithfully volunteered at local voting polls, always believing that serving others was one of life’s greatest privileges. Whether helping a neighbor, supporting her family, or lending her time to her community, Robbie’s generous heart was evident in everything she did.
When she wasn’t caring for others, Robbie found peace in nature, watching things grow, and took pride in creating beauty around her home. She was also a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee, proudly cheering on the Volunteers and never missing an opportunity to show her love for Big Orange.
Above all, Robbie treasured her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose wisdom, unwavering support, and unconditional love touched generations. Her Christian faith guided her throughout her life, and she was a devoted member of Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop, Tennessee.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her beloved sons, Chris Clay (Stephanie) and William “Brad” Clay (Jaylynn); her treasured grandchildren, Shelby Clay, Dylan Clay, Mackenzie Clay, and Braden Clay; along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
Robbie will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her quiet strength, her love of family, her beautiful gardens, and the unmistakable sight of Tennessee orange on game days. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and generosity will continue to bloom in the lives of all she touched.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers who cared for Robbie throughout her journey. A special thank you to the staff of Alive Hospice and NHC Healthcare Springfield for the exceptional care, comfort, and kindness shown to Robbie and her loved ones. Your dedication and compassion will always be remembered.
