

Born on March 5, 1934, in rural Williamson County, Tennessee, Robbie was the daughter of Charlie and Dewey Newcomb. She attended Bethesda High School and married the love of her life, William Skinner, on August 6, 1954, in Georgia. Robbie was the last surviving of twelve siblings, a testament to a life filled with generations of family history and cherished memories.
A devoted homemaker, Robbie dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She found great joy in crafting, tending to her flower gardens, and was a lifelong fan of the Grand Ole Opry. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and love for simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Robbie is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Leon) Dorton; grandson, Josh (Erica) Burnett; great granddaughters, Addy & Emmy Burnett; grandson, Richie (Leanne) Skinner; great grandson, Austin; granddaughter, Roseanna Capaldi; and great grandchildren, Brandon; Octavia; Kevin Lee; Caleb & Mack Capaldi.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Skinner; sons, Jerry; Barry; and Ricky; parents, Charlie and Dewey Newcomb; and her eleven siblings.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on July 15, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on July 16, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
A Funeral Service will take place at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on July 16, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
A Committal Service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on July 16, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
