

Mr. Robert Allan Graham, age 81, of Nashville, TN, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. Mr. Graham was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, on September 12, 1933, the son of the late John Holler Graham and Edna Close Graham. He was a retired petroleum engineer and worked for Dresser Atlas. Mr. Graham found pleasure in boating and treasured the waters of Lake Powell in Utah. After retiring, he thoroughly enjoyed his hobby of building and flying model airplanes up to six feet in length. Mr. Graham served in the Army as a Lieutenant and was in the Navy Reserve. He was an avid golfer, gardener and University of Alabama fan, and he took great pride in making his hot salsa. Above everything, Mr. Graham was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lois Graham Bell. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Lois Whitney Graham; two daughters, Laura Allison Graham and Sherry Lynn (Gregg) Peterson; one son, Robert Allan Graham, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Lou Aufman and Betty Martinko; two brothers, John (Linda) Graham and James (Virginia) Graham; three grandchildren, Stephanie Peterson Knight, Jamie Peterson Zimmerman and Britney Nicole Peterson; five great grandchildren, Jacob, Brennan and Zachariah Knight and Jack and Leo Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family & friends will be held on Wednesday from ten o’clock until the funeral hour at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at one o’clock in the afternoon in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Mr. Graham will be buried with military honors following the celebration.
