As a fellow Surveyor, i was very sad to hear about the passing of Scott. I guess i have know Scott for many, many years, not with a close relationship like his friends and other surveyor's who were closer, but in a professional manner so to speak. Also would see him at our surveyors convention in Murfreesboro generally every year. He was always easy to speak with and more than helpful with the survey work he did, and like others when i found one of his caps i knew it was good. May God Bless his family and close friends in this time of grief, my best, Phil Taylor

My sincere condolences to Scot's family. As a fellow surveyor, it was always good news when you found you were working on a project that Scot had surveyed. The surveying community has some big boots to fill.

I knew Scott from his surveying career. He was an excellent surveyor, I would even argue that he was one of the best surveyors that worked in the Nashville area. I always got excited to know I was going to retrace a Scott Cherry survey because he always set his corners and his work was very neat and accurate. Scott will be missed, but the thousands of surveys and descriptions he did over his career will live on forever as public records. May our Lord bless and comfort his family during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I met Scot only a few times always due to a survey matter of course. I found Scot to be a smart and caring person. He always seemed eager to help another surveyor out. This profession will feel the loss of Scot as I am certain his family and friends will also. I wish the best to all of the loved ones in Scots life.
