I only just learned through a notice in the Yale Alumni Magazine that Bob had died. He was a great friend to me at Yale and beyond. Senior year a few friends would gather in his room almost nightly to share stories, ideas, and, always, laughs. He was Chairman of the Board of that club, or seminar, or gang we never bothered to name. It was a wonder and a joke and indispensable. So long, good friend. --David Jeffery

I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing, will  remember his sparkle and sense of humor and send my condoleances to his family.

When we worked together, and on the rare occasions he left before I did, Bob would stop by, wave, and break out into at least the first four lines of "Happy Trails", the song with which Roy Rogers and Dale Evans ended their TV programs years ago. 
Yesterday, after the last "thanks be to God" had settled a bit, the pianist started playing the "Happy Trails" introduction to a collective gasp from the attendees. (If you're old enough, you might remember that this part sounds like the clip-clop of a horse walking). After the four-bar intro, most of the congregation sang the song, knowing that it was one of his favorites, summing up the day, not with a period, but with a comma after "'til we meet again".
Like him and his life and legacy, the service was really special.

Bob Feldman was a great friend for nearly 40 years. His wit and wisdom were a joy for me and many of my friends and family. My condolences to his wonderful children.

Will miss knowing Bob is in the world...he never failed to make me laugh!  He was a good and kind man...especially loved how much he loved his children.  My heartfelt sympathy to them; just know a father's love stays in your heart forever.

Bob was a gracious and giving man.  I only knew him through the University Club Board where he served with me and as President of the Board later on.  I spoke with him not long ago and it surreal that he has passed.  I won't forget his pleasant presence and his gentle character.

Bob helped everyone in his presence feel "at home."  Witty, articulate, and compassionate, he mentored many people in his lifetime. After you met him, you knew that you had met a man of honor.

Such a wonderful, caring and generous man.  A true gentleman that will be missed by many.

What a gracious man! Always a gentleman and scholar. He will be missed....

So sorry to hear of Bob's sudden death. I had just visited with him at ECON Club as he was still using his walker since surgery.  I will miss his kind way and great sense of humor.  Love to Patsey and all his family.  Sallie Bailey
