Mr. Garcia was born in La Junta, Colorado on June 15, 1928, the son of the late Rubel Garcia and Antonieta Maldonado. He served in the United States Army and was a barber for sixty years. Mr. Garcia enjoyed gardening, playing pool, and wood working. In addition to his parents, Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Garcia; second wife, Bertha Garcia; a son, Barry Garcia; and a brother, Richard Garcia.
Survivors include three daughters, Anita (Hugh) Sterry, Tina (Eddie) Guinn, and Tonya Sams; two sons, Robert Garcia, Jr. and Rudy (Tina) Garcia; two sisters, Sally and Irene; three brothers, Johnny, Danny, and Albert Garcia; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside and interment services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at noon, Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Wednesday from ten o’clock until noon at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
