Robert S Irby

Robert "Bob" Irby, age 90, a native of Atlanta, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Mernice and Mary Shelby Irby, and his brother Elwyn Irby. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Alford Irby; daughter, Anne Irby Neyland (Ron); grandchildren, Andrew (Sydnee), and Amanda. His son, John Irby (Susan); grandson, Joe (Ashton); great-grandson, James William; and nephew, Dr. James Irby (Margaret). Bob was a graduate of George Peabody College and a senior partner at Gale, Smith & Co., Inc. He was a longtime member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church. A gathering of family and friends for Robert will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:30 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. The service will be conducted by Rev.
