

MERIWETHER, Robert M. “Bob” age 80 of Franklin on February 25, 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Meriwether Crossman (Bill); granddaughters, Rebecca Shipley and Rachel Chastain; three great grandchildren, Jordan Shipley, Alivia Chastain and Carmine Chastain. Preceded in death by his parents, Chester Hudson Meriwether and Paralee E. Adams Meriwether; brother, Chester H. Meriwether; sisters, Marie Parus, Leila May Vaughn, Jean E. Meriwether. He always called Nashville home and worked at R.L. Polk & company. His job took him to St. Louis for two years, twenty six years in the greater Detroit area and one year in nrichmond, VA. Buy the time he retired in December 1991 he was one of the Vice Presidents. Bob and his wife Joyce traveled extensively, highlited by five trips to Hawaii and three cruises, the last one through the Panama Canal. Altogether, they visited 45 of 50 states. Bob and his wife Joyce moved to Franklin in2001. Bob loved to play golf and garden. Bob and Joyce were active members of Oak Valley Baptist Church in Franklin. Visitation will be at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2:00 until 8:00pm. Services will be at Oak Valley Baptist Church on Lewisburg Pk. in Franklin at 1:00 pm Wednesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation at the church at 12:00 pm, one hour prior to services at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
