

HOOPER, Jaime Roberta Schrader Born December 9, 1921 in Nashville; died December 15, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Robert J. Schrader and Cora Mai Young Schrader, and sister, Kathryn Mai (Schrader) Maddux. Married Sidney L. Hooper on August 9, 1945 and survived by him; also survived by children: Sidney L. Hooper, Jr. (Clearwater, FL); David T. (Chris) Hooper (Franklin); J. Randall (Mary Ann) Hooper (Brentwood); and Jonathan B. (Debra) Hooper (Stephenville, TX); grandchildren: Mary Margaret Hooper (Nashville), Jordan Hooper (Nashville), Zachary (Emmy)Hooper (Stephenville, TX), Caleb (Ashton) Hooper (Brownwood, TX), Will Hooper (Nashville), Bob Hooper (Birmingham), Sydney Hooper (Chattanooga), Grace Hooper (Lookout Mountain, GA), Jack Hooper (Franklin), and Ben Hooper (Franklin); and great-granddaughter, Olivia Hooper. Member at: Charlotte Avenue Church of Christ; Oakland Church of Christ (Clarksville); Otter Creek Church of Christ; and Northside Church of Christ (St. Petersburg). Graduated from Bellevue High School and David Lipscomb College. Secretary at National Life and volunteer nurse’s aide in WWII; later legal secretary and paralegal for 19 years in Clearwater, FL. Gifted seamstress & needleworker; Cub Scout den mother for years. Devoted to her family and the Lord. A wife of noble character and virtue, worthy of the praise of all generations of her family, Berta exemplified servant leadership with consistent kindness and a smile. The family acknowledges with appreciation the loving care provided by caregivers at Lakeshore, The Meadows and Guardian Hospice. Visitation on Sunday, December 19 from 1-4 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, with private family service afterward.
