Rocky Dewayne Thompson

Rocky D. Thompson, 56, of Nashville, TN, gained his wings on Thursday, May 18, 2017. He was born September 22, 1960 to Virginia and James Thompson. He was a devoted husband of 36 years to Sabrina Thompson as well as a loving and most wonderful father to his daughters, Sandy and Jessica. He was an awesome “PaPa” to his grandchildren, Jacob Sarah, Desiree and Jazmine. He was worshipped by his fur daughter “ladybug” who never left his side. If you knew rocky, you know he was quite the character who always kept you laughing. He could always put a smile on your face no matter the circumstances. He had a heart the size of the world and he was a friend who could be counted on and would always be there. Rocky was preceded in death by his Father, James Murray (Snake) Thompson, Jr., and survived by his wife, Sabrina Thompson; daughter Sandy Miller and her husband Kenny; daughter Jessica Keen and her husband Ricky; grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Sarah Miller; his Mother, Virginia Thompson; sisters, Maryann McKnight, Debbie Turner, Sue Thompson; brother, Tank Thompson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at one o’clock in the afternoon, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Gathering of family and friends on Monday evening from four o’clock until eight o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
