

Ronald Allen Busen, 59, died in the comfort of his home surrounded by family on January 22, 2016, after a 10-year battle with prostate cancer. He is preceded in death by his father, James Aloysius, and brother, James Loa Busen. Originally from west central Illinois, Ron moved to Nashville in 1999. Many will remember him for his devotion to family, quick wit, and ability to build or repair anything. Together with his wife, he founded Busen Restoration, a business highlighting his tool restoration skills, and Busen Illumination, which showcased his creative ability to design and build industrial lamps. Ron is survived by his soul mate and wife of 13 years, Michele Busen, son, Army WO1 Jared (Shira) Busen, currently serving at Camp Humphreys in South Korea, son Justin Busen of Ft. Myers, FL, daughter Jamie (Jason) Traeder and grandson Calvin Rory Traeder, both of Quincy, IL, mother Wanda Busen of Mt. Sterling, IL, and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home in Donelson.
