Rosalind Denise Etheridge

May 31, 1951November 5, 2018

Rosalind Denise Etheridge, age 67, departed this life on Monday, November 5, 2018. She was born on Mary 31, 1951 in Pasadena, California, to Marjorie Ruth Reid and the late Thelman Sharpe Reid. Rosalind was a graduate of Cameron High School class of 1969, then she attended and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Tennessee State University. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one of her 9 siblings, her sister, Carolyn Reid Gray. She is survived by her daughter, Desire` Reid Church; grandchildren, Ezettes Howell, Jasmine Howell and Derrick Howell; great-grandchildren, Yana and Derrick, Jr.; siblings; Calvin (Pamela) Reid, Jacquelyn Woods, Paul (Denita) Reid, Kenneth Reid, Pamela (Aroll) Jones, Dwayne Reid, Michael (Sherry) Reid, Ellen (Garry) Jones and Maria Reid; brother-in-law, Albert Gray. Rosalind dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized it by water baptism on Feb 14, 1986. She started a career as a fulltime minister on January 1, 2--13 and continued until her death, regular at meetings in spite of her illness. She also served where the need was greater in the Sign Language Congregation and for a number of years in the Arabic Congregation. Rosalind worked faithfully for a number of years with our Regional Building Committee in the first aid department. Even thought Rosalind was affected by the flood of 2010, as a member of the RBC she also assisted with the other friends homes, that were affected by the flood. Rosalind was a real pioneer, a true servant of Jehovah and a fine example for all true Christians. We look forward to seeing our dear sister back in the resurrection, a time when "no resident will say: I am sick" Isa 33:24, John 5:28,29. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Rosebank Kingdom Hall, 1017 Calvert Street, Nashville, TN 37216.
