Rufus Albert Sasser Jr.

Rufus Albert Sasser Jr. (Bill Jr.), age 66, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. Rufus was born August 31, 1955 to father Rufus A. Sasser and mother Lila Lee Sasser in Syracuse Alabama. Bill was married to his wife Catherine Johnson Sasser for 48 years. He attended E.B Erwin High school. In his adult life he served for the U.S army as a mechanic (1972-1975) and in the National Guard (1976-1977), which included being stationed in Korea.

Bills' family was the most important thing in his life, which was not defined solely by blood relation. His Hobbies were Muscle cars, racing and watching old western movies.

He survived by His spouse; Catherine Johnson Sasser, his two children; Shannon Sasser (Chris), Sabrina Sasser Clark (Richard), grandchildren; Robyn Sasser, Ryan McNear, Lila Sasser, great-grandchild; Addyson Lynn Sasser, and siblings; Terry Sasser (Sherry) and Barry Sasser (Jerri).

Bill preceded in death by his father; Rufus A. Sasser, mother; Lila Lee Sasser and oldest daughter Stephanie Sasser Fecteau.

A visitation for Rufus will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, A visitation will occur Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM all at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
