SADIE Louise BALES

Sadie Louise Bales (Carter) 85, a devout Christian, went to be with the Lord on June 27,2020. Her children were with her as she went peacefully, which was an answer to prayer. Sadie was a passionate homemaker and raised 5 children. She loved cooking, sewing and quilting. Sadie spent many loving hours rocking babies in the nursery at the Gospel Chapel for over 40 years.

Sadie is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Billy Bales, daughter Donna Jean Bales and son-in-law Sam Stewart.

She is survived by son Charles (Margaret) Bales, daughters Sandra Stewart, Bonnie Bales, Tracy York, grandchildren Melisa, Regina, B.J., Becky, Trudy, Cindy, Alleah, Ryan, Sara and 14 great grandchildren.

Sadie's biggest joy in life was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.

Many thanks to the nurses, caregivers and staff at Maybelle Carter Memory Care for the love and kindness shown to our mom for over 5 years.

Sadie’s celebration of life will be officiated by Gary Thompson and Patrick Warner from Nashville Gospel Chapel.

Pallbearers include Charles Bales, B.J. Bales, Ryan York, Tate Bales, Caleb Patterson and Nick Williams.

I work in dietary at Maybelle Carter. Anytime I delivered food to our memory care unit and Sadie saw me she would smile and when I waved she would always wave back. Sweetest smile!😊
