Samuel B. Langham, Jr., age 97, departed this life on August 20, 2021. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 30, 1923 to the late Sam B. Langham Sr. and Louise Sims Langham. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Martha Harris Langham.
Sam Enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 in WWII. He proudly served in General Patton's 3rd Army from 1942 to 1945. Sam and his wife were long standing members of Saturn Drive Baptist Church for over 60 Years. Sam was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 25 years in the Donelson and Nashville areas. Sam was also a member of the American Legion in Mount Juliet.
Sam is survived by his daughters, Laura Harris Langham, of Overland Park, Kansas and Lesia (Preston) Goddard of Mount Juliet, Tennessee;
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from four until seven in the evening on Monday, August 23, 2021 and again on Tuesday, August 24, from ten o'clock until eleven o'clock in the morning. at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home where the service will be streamed live @ Woodlawn-Roesch,with Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Sam's honor to the Nashville Rescue Mission, Shiner's Children Hospital and the Nashville Humane Society.
