Sandra Lynn (“Sandy”) Webster began her new eternal life on September 1, 2026. She passed to heaven from Rutland Place Senior Community in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee surrounded by the love and devotion of family and close friends.
Sandy was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Leonard Eugene and Fayre Mae Turner. She was the devoted wife of 43 years to Charles Earl (“Tyke”) Webster, who served in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service.
Following their marriage, Tyke and Sandy made their home in Gilbert, Arizona. A licensed cosmetologist, in the late 70’s Sandy became the opener/operator of The Hair Bender Beauty Salon in the Phoenix suburb of Ahwatukee. She later became a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a position she retired from in the mid 2000’s.
With Tyke, she enjoyed an adventurous life of travel as well as spending time in the outdoors at their mountain cabin at Happy Jack, Arizona.
Following the death of her husband in March of 2014, Sandy left Arizona and moved to Nashville at the request of her youngest son, Kirt, a prominent figure in the Nashville business community.
Her years in Nashville were among her life’s happiest and most enriching. She enjoyed a new legion of friends and experiences of travel and music business related events. Her annual Christmas Party in Nashville became a much-anticipated signature seasonal event attended by friends inside the music industry, as well as those friends from all walks of life drawn in by Sandy’s warm heart and lovely hand of friendship. In 2025, Sandy moved to an apartment at Rutland Place Senior Community in Mt. Juliet, where she quickly established a new life among a vibrant community of friends who shared the enjoyment of her good humor, decorating skills and love of bingo.
It was said of her by all that loved that she made life a little more beautiful by just being Sandy. She was much loved and will be very much missed. But we have not lost her. We know right where she is. With the Jesus she loved—and the husband she adored. Happy forever Sandy until we see you again!
