

Predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Ercira Rubio Juliao; his parents, Maria Teresa Terril Juliao and Saul H. Juliao Visbal; the mother that raised him Amelia Fortich R. Juliao; his brothers Nelson Juliao Fortich, and Israel Juliao Fortich; and grandson Saul C. Juliao.
Born November 30, 1931, attended private schools in Bogota, Colombia; graduated from the National University of Colombia with a MD Surgeon Physician degree in 1954, then post graduate studies at University of Pittsburg with a Masters of Public Health and Industrial Medicine in 1960. He became the Chief of Occupational Health of the Social Security system in Colombia, authored articles on Safety and Occupational Health in the Colombian building Industry and was General Secretary of the Pan American Congress of Occupational Health. He was a Physician with TVA and a Physician consultant to the Social Security system in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Juliao was an active participant in International Medical Conferences, avid collector and enjoyed playing chess. He leaves behind a legacy of many accomplishments and a large number of professionals to whom he has served as a mentor. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all who knew him. He always put his family first and was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, he will be truly missed by all.
Dr. Juliao is survived by his children Maria Street (John), Patricia Clabough, Saul Juliao (Debbie), Sandra Meade, Luz Maria Swing (James), Federico Juliao (Cindy), Angela Brummett Juliao (Kent), Catalina Carroll (Michael), Ricardo Juliao; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 9 brothers, 6 sisters and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, March 12 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 9100 Crockett Road, Brentwood, TN. 37027, at 10 a.m. Followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Father Mark Simpson will officiate. A private interment service will be held at Woodlawn cemetery at a later date.
