Gail was born on July 20, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, to James R. King and Illa Ruth King. As the oldest of five children, she shared a lifetime of memories with her siblings, Diane King, Dolly King, Patsy Clymer, and Jimmy King.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all four of her siblings.
Gail is lovingly survived by her daughter, Denissa Parrish Morgan; her son, Charles "Butch" Parrish, Jr.; her granddaughters, Emily Parrish Baggett and Anna Parrish; her great-grandsons, Charles and Benny; along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her family will remember her for her strength, her unique spirit, and the many ways she touched their lives. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in our faith and in the belief that she has found peace and is reunited with those who have gone before her.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, physicians, and caregivers who cared for her during her final days, as well as to everyone who has offered prayers, kindness, and support during this difficult time.
A graveside service celebrating Gail's life will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee. Family and friends are invited to gather as we honor her life and entrust her to God's eternal care.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
