Shirley is survived by her children, Denise Hathaway (Nat), Debra Brooks and David Brooks (Candie); grandchildren, Josh Cunningham, Scott Horsley, Jason Horsley, David Brooks, Jr., Michelle Brooks, Trent
Brooks and Kayla Brooks and well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brooks loved music, dancing, bingo and was a social butterfly. She never met a stranger and just enjoyed being with people especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Credit Women’s International and Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd 2022 beginning at 11am with a Celebration of Life Service at 1pm in Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton’s Dignity Hall. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park
