Shirley Faye Moore Hall passed peacefully on Oct. 16th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 25th, 1935 in Shelbyville, TN to Beulah and Newton Moore, the fourth of five children. On August 29th, 1953, she married the love of her life, Robin McColgan Hall. Together they raised two children, Robin Clay Hall and Brian Lawton Hall in a loving, Christian home. In 1972, Shirley Hall graduated from Meharry Medical College and started her career as a dental hygienist.

Mrs. Hall was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She adored her family and loved them with a passion that words cannot describe. She exemplified Christian living at its finest. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Jaycee’s/Jaycette’s, enjoying their many activities. She was a proud supporter of the Boy Scouts, as both of her sons were Eagle Scouts. She followed football and politics avidly. She was very supportive of her grandchildren in all their activities. Mrs. Hall was a faithful follower of the United Methodist faith and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, and her son, Robin Clay Hall. She is survived by her husband, Robin McColgan “Bob” Hall, her son Brian Lawton (Valerie) Hall, daughter-in-law Sheryl Rennie Hall, grandchildren Kristina Lynn (Robert) Hall, Joseph Christian Gash-Hall (Jessica Rogers), Katelyn McColgan Gash-Hall (Destiny Dunn), Ariel Rennie Hall Biggs (John), and Julia Moore Hall (Patrick Belton). She is survived by three great grandchildren Jessica Kay-Lynn Keith, Brian Cole Keith, and Chance William-Rae Keith. She is also survived by her two brothers: Douglas (Shirley) Gardner Moore, and Larry Lawton (Nancy) Moore, a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends. Memorials can be made to St. Jude or the Nashville Rescue Mission.

A celebration of life will conducted 10:00 Monday, October 22, 2018 in the chapel at Eastland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Hall at a visitation Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2:00 until 8:00 at Eastland Funeral Home 904 Gallatin Avenue Nashville, Tennessee 37206
