Sibyl Anna Waters Shipp

Sibyl Shipp age 94 of Nashville, TN passed away April 14, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Shipp, granddaughter, Angela Beason, and son-in-law, Donald Beason. She is survived by her children, Pat Beason and Dennis (Janet) Shipp; granddaughters, Paula (John) Bennett, Pamela (Lyric) Lewis, Paige (Jared) Stiefel, Cindy (Kris) Cantrell, Diana (Michael) Mason; grandson, Kerry (Gary Ann) Beason; great grandchildren, Anna Day (Stephen) Hemingson, Edward & Jonathan Day, Angelia Bennett, Tristan & Trenton Lewis, Noah & Molly Stiefel, Nicholas, Savannah & Sophie Beason, Joshua & Sarah Cantrell, Michelle, Kristen, Jonathan & Stephen Mason & a host of relatives and friends. Sibyl was retired from Metro Schools as a teacher with lifetime membership in the Donelson Elementary PTA. She was also a lifetime member of Percy Priest Sport Fishing Club, and a faithful member of the Mary- Martha Sunday School class at Lakewood Baptist Church. Special thanks to the staff and nurses at Donelson Place for the kindness and loving care shown to Sibyl. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Cameron officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN. 615-883-2361.
