Steve was a great colleague and work friend. I loved listening to the passion in his voice when he spoke of his work and those he worked with. He had such a disarming personality and was well respected. Hospitals respected him and his wisdom and spoke highly of him.

Steve, you are missed. God bless your family during these times.

I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve's passing. I've worked with Steve for many years and always found his thoughtfulness, caring and professionalism aligned directly with Cigna's customers' needs. His recommendations offered during credentialing committee calls was always spot-on. Most of all, he offered positivity and inquisitiveness to every interaction. Within the organization and as his colleague, he will be missed. Peace. RBM

My sincere condolences to you. I worked w/Steve and he was unfailingly a gentleman, courteous and always willing to help a fellow Medical Director with a quick curb-side consult. He is missed.

Doris, my heart goes out to you and your family during this most difficult of times.
I first met Dr. Mintz back in the days of the Great West era. I know that I speak for all those that remember the great Christmas parties that were hosted in your home. My spouse still often speaks of them.
Dr. Mintz was a kind and gracious soul and always willing to help out the nurses when he could. His dry and sarcastic wit was a joy.
I know that he will continue to be respected by countless of his former colleagues.
May the knowledge that he was loved be a comfort for you.

I first met Steve when he, Charles Foreman, Michael Raybeck and I met for dinner in Atlanta shortly after the Cigna-Great West merger. Steve was a very intelligent, funny and caring person. He was always willing to pitch in and help his Medical Director colleagues. He strived to "do the right thing" in his role as a Cigna Medical Director. He will be missed by all of us that worked with him. Condolences to his family and prayers of comfort and strength lifted up for his family and friends as they mourn his departure . RIP my friend.

Our deepest condolences to Doris and the Mintz family. I worked with Dr. Mintz at Great-West & Cigna for over 20 years. What a kind and thoughtful person and very funny in a dry/sarcastic way. What a passionate medical director, always doing the right thing for managed care, having the patient's health/safety in mind. I won't forget the psychedelic outfit he wore to a client baseball game when he traveled in to Florida to meet with us...we had fun with him for quite a while. I will definitely miss my friend of many years.
