Martha Sue Hassey passed away July 18, 2018 at age 79. She was born December 30. 1938, in Benton, KY to the late James Claude and Bessie Rayburn Ford. She graduated from David Lipscomb High School, Class of 1958, and retired after 20 years of service from the Nashville Metro School Board.
Sue was a member of Granny White Church of Christ and she enjoyed many years of fellowship.
She was preceded in death by Maurice, her husband of 53 years, brother Thomas Rayburn Ford, twin sister, Mary Lou Sherrod, and sister Jo Crosier.
She is survived by son, James (Jim) Dudley Hassey and two grandsons, John Dudley Hassey and Chandler Ford Hassey, brother, Jim (Zoraida) Ford, and sisters Claudine Ford and Donna White.
Pallbearers will be Tom Ford, Jim Ford, Jon Hassey, Jim Minnick, Eddie McDevitt , Eric Rein, Doug Crosier and David Crosier.
Family and friends will gather to remember Sue on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Granny White Church of Christ beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time for service at 11:00 a.m. 3805 Granny White Pike, Nashville, TN 37204. Interment at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Memorial Park immeditely following service. 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204
