Suzanne Henrietta Bruce Parker, 77, entered into eternal peace on October 13, 2018. She was the beloved Mother of Harold Dean Parker II and the cherished sister of Vicki Spann, Linda (Tony) Stout, and Bobby Bruce. Suzanne also leaves behind loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Dean Parker, her son David Scott Parker, her daughter Tracie Parker Clemenz, her brother Bill Bruce, and her companion Joseph Sbuttoni.
Suzanne was the eldest child of the late Harry and Henrietta Bruce. She attended grade school at Christ the King and attended high school at St. Bernard’s where she graduated in 1959. After high school, Suzanne became a teller at First American National Bank, and later she worked for years in the Davidson County Clerk’s Office before retiring in 2009.
In 1963, Suzanne married Harold (“Hopp”) Parker, and they had three children who were the light Suzanne’s life. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a lifelong parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church. Suzanne always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by many who loved her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, in Nashville. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3001 Belmont Boulevard. Burial at Calvary Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.
