She was born on March 23, 1936, in Ukraine, where she grew up, graduated from college, got married and had her son.
In 1992 Tanya and her husband came to the United States, which became their second home. They loved Nashville where they lived for 23 years.
Tanya was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ilya Smilansky and her brother Jacob Eisenberg.
She is survived by her son Michael (Inna) Smilansky, grandson Gene (Chris) Smilansky, Hannah (fiancée Maxwell) Smilansky.
The funeral service will be held at SHERITH ISRAEL CEMETERY at 2113 15th Ave N Nashville TN 37208, on Monday January 20 at 12:00pm.
