Teresa was, in the quietest and most steadfast ways, the best of us—someone who gave without keeping score and asked for little beyond acceptance. She carried a fierce, protective love for those she held close, often more deeply than she ever let on. With a steady devotion, she did everything she could for everyone around her, especially in the care she showed in making sure her mother was looked after and eating healthy, always attentive to what mattered most.
To those who knew her best, Teresa was not only a sister, but a best friend—present, dependable, and unwavering no matter what was needed. Her kindness was constant, her heart expansive, and her courage unmistakable. She was cherished for her beauty, her tenderness, and the way she put others first, even when she never asked the same in return.
Teresa’s love shone brightly in the life she shared with her furbabies, Coco and Rouge, whom she adored with an intensity that was both gentle and devoted. She found joy in being outside, going shooting, and attending car shows, and she especially loved coming to stay with family and spending time with their furbabies as well—giving affection freely, and receiving it in return. Even with moments of “madness,” as those closest to her might lovingly say, she was defined far more by warmth, compassion, and a tenderness that lingered in every room she entered. She was extraordinary to be around, unforgettable in presence, and will remain, always, a hero in the hearts of those who loved her.
Left behind in sorrow are the following family members: Mother, Polly Werner; sisters, Robyn Gleaves and Donna Hayes; brothers, Ron Werner and John Werner; son, Josh Ferrell; and grandchildren, Sean and Wesley Ferrell.
