Teresa Shipe Conners

Teresa Shipe Conners, of Shelbyville, TN, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was 61 years old. Teresa was born in Salem, NJ on December 7, 1962. She was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. Her two girls, Rachael Shipe Skufca and Madeline Shipe Kinslow, were her world. She was with her sweetheart, David Conners, for 27 years. Teresa was raised in Maryville, TN and graduated from William Blount High School. She attended East Tennessee State University and studied Business. Throughout her professional career, Teresa was a multi-family real estate specialist for many years and had a passion for designer home furnishings following. Teresa would walk into a room and fill the air with so much love, kindness, and happiness. Her love for fashion and jewelry was always cherished through her modeling when she was younger, her beautiful selfies, and catwalks in a new outfit. Her dear sisters would call her Martha Stewart as she was an amazing hostess and cook. Teresa never met a stranger and even when she didn’t have much, she would always give what she had to others. Teresa is survived by her devoted husband, David Conners, daughters, Rachael (Conner) Skufca and Madeline (Kyle) Kinslow, granddaughters, Ella Grace and Paisley Mae, stepchildren David (Leigh) Conners Jr. and Emily Conners, step grandchildren, Mason, John and Mary Clayton, 3 sisters, Cathy (Alvis) Wilson, Donna (Jey) Rhodes, and Crystal (Chris) Daugherty, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved pets, Coal, Oliver, and Winnie. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Thompson, and mother, Deloris (Dee) Thompson, paternal grandparents, Hubert and Reba (Tina) Thompson, maternal grandparents John B. and Missouri Belle Henry, and precious pets, Sadie, Jack, and Emily, who were all waiting for her at Heaven’s gate. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 16th at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205. Visitation will be from 12-1pm and the Service will be held from 1-2pm
