Thomas Wesley Hampton

Thomas Wesley Hampton (Wes), age 90, of Dickson, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was born December 27, 1934 in Tampa, Florida to Allen and Mary Lou Hampton. Wesley is survived by 2 sons; Tommy, Casey and sister Mary Ellen. Preceded in death by one son Gregg (Kim), brothers Quentin, Bob, Mickey and sister Sarah. He has 4 grandchildren Hannah (Andrew) Rainey, Jacob Hampton, Amber Hall and Kendra (Todd) Edgell and 2 great grandchildren Sadie and Chase Edgell.

In 1958, Wes graduated from the University of Alabama majoring in Civil Engineering. He decided to accept a contracting job with the Corps of Engineers and moved his family to Nashville. Later he worked his way up to President and Partner of Mid Tenn Tractor Co. where he worked for 22 years and received multiple awards for Top Sales in the nation. Wes decided to retired early and start a business with his two sons Tom and Casey, (Hampton Equipment) and worked to the age of 77. Wes was a philanthropist, he contributed to Brentwood Academy locker rooms and Franklin Road Academy baseball Dimond. He was a kind man and helped many people in need. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his sons boating, fishing, hunting and camping.

His hobbies included Alabama Football, NASCAR Events, sports collectibles and rare firearms.
