Thomas Trainer Marcrum Sr., passed away on July 10, 2019 at age 81 at home surrounded by his beloved family. Tommy, a highly respected native Nashvillian, graduate of Central High School who spent 40 years as a sheet metal worker with Union 177, co-owner of RichMar Industrial Maintenance, and served 38 years as a Deputy Sheriff of Davidson County. His passion for restoring and customizing antique automobiles and motorcycles were masterful. Tommy spent over fifty years as a dedicated Free Mason achieving the 32nd Degree and was a member of the John B. Garrett Lodge #711, as well as a member of Al Menah Shrine. He was a revered master craftsman and accomplished at many trades that left a legacy that included several well known Nashville landmarks.
Tommy is survived by his four children from Dixie Lee (Bates) Marcrum, Thomas T. Marcrum Jr., David Wayne Marcrum, Rhonda Renee Lopez, Carmol Andrew Marcrum, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and brothers Richard and William Marcrum. Pallbearers are Christopher Ray Marcrum, Dylan Thomas Marcrum, Richard Marcrum, Jr., William Marcrum, Jr., Jesse Marcrum, Steven Marcrum, Roy Edward Thomas, Eddie Van Dijk. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Marcrum, Sr., William Marcrum, Sr., Michael Simmons, Paul Simmons and Fate Thomas, Jr. Officiating Pastor, Larry Guin.
