Thomas J. Mitchell, age 81, of White House, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He was born March 10, 1941 to Marie Finney Mitchell and Raymond Ludlow Mitchell. He remembered as a kind, good-hearted and funny man. He was a firefighter at Metro Fire Department, where he worked for many years. On his time off he enjoyed softball, bowling, music, and making art.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Ezell Mitchell; son Gregory Mitchell (Bethany); brother Michael Mitchell; and his granddaughters, Aubrey and Lauryn Mitchell; their mother Nicole Mitchell, and granddaughters Marissa and Madison Trammel.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Ludlow Mitchell and mother Marie Finney Mitchell; two brothers Alex (Chick) Mitchell and Raymond (Bubba) Mitchell; and his two sisters Betty June Wilson and Mary Ann Hunter.
A gathering of family and friends for Thomas will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. The funeral service will take place Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. With a committal service to follow.
