devoted husband and father passed away June 15th, 2020, at age 81. Thurman is preceded in death by his father and mother T.T. McLean, Sr. and Sara Patterson McLean.
Thurman’s academic achievements include graduating from Montgomery Bell Academy, University of Tn. Knoxville and Vanderbilt Law school. Thurman was also a member of ATO fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his beloved daughter, Dayna Avery Hulme, and son in law Tom Hulme, granddaughters Courtney Hulme and Alexandra Hulme all of Nashville. He is also survived by his son, David Avery, and his wife Amy of Maryville, Tn.
