Tina M Gober, (pronounced Ty-na with long I sound) age 90, of Nashville, TN slept her way into the arms of Jesus on October 4th, 2025. Tina was born to Carmel Edward "Bill" Burris and Florence Belle Burris on April 17th, 1935. She was the apple of her daddy's eye and followed him everywhere he went. She always said her daddy hung the stars and the moon.
Tina graduated from North High School in 1953. Her mother emphasized proper dress and etiquette while raising Tina. Tina was voted as the "Neatest Dressed" girl in both Jr and Sr High School. Tina had the unique ability to be the perfect debutant but for those who knew her best, we were all aware that her inner child had a bit of tom boy.
Tina married the love of her life, Raymond Gober Jr. and had two children. She was the office manager for Dr. Haber, Dr Regen Sr and Dr. Regen Jr from the mid 1960's to the mid 1980's in Nashville. She then worked for Vulcan Materials for many years. In her semi-retirement she was a Real Estate Agent in Nashville.
Tina was an avid shopper with a keen eye for the greatest styles. Her favorite colors were bronze, gold and copper which matched her love for the Fall Season. Tina loved travel and the opportunity to visit antique shops and Old churches. She loved the ornate features of the buildings, stained glass windows and steeples of times past. She loved history, floral gardening and getting dressed up to visit little quaint Tea Rooms when time allowed. She spent much of her time romanticizing different periods from the past.
Tina's world was her children and their happiness. She was quite involved with Marcy and her love for "hair & beauty" helping her grow her business by filling in where needed. She also loved keeping up with Football & Golf where she shared a special bond with her son, Britt. During the time when the children were home, she spent many hours hosting girl sleepovers and taking Britt to and from golf courses while entertaining and feeding his friends.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Florence Belle Burris, her husband, Raymond Gober Jr in 1981 and our families favorite dog "Petey" whom she shared a special bond with for 15 years until 2023. Bruce Dorton (1956-2021) whom she loved for 60 years as if he were her own son.
