

In celebration of his life, we announce the passing of Todd Schanbaum in Nashville, TN on
November 21, 2020.
Todd was born on February 21, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dr. Gene and Bernadine
Schanbaum. He grew up in Dallas, TX and graduated from Richardson High School. In 1998
he married his wife, Susan, and they moved to New Jersey. While living there he attended the
Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he studied photography.
Todd was predeceased by his mother, Bernadine, and his brother Bob. His memories live on
through his wife Susan, his father Gene Schanbaum, and his siblings Mark Schanbaum, Dean
Schanbaum, Scott Schanbaum and Nancy Clay; as well as his son Maxwell Schanbaum. His
life was also enriched by his large extended family, his nieces and nephews, their children, and
his many cherished friends.
Todd’s passion was photography, and in his loving, caring nature, he volunteered with Now I
Lay Me Down to Sleep, an organization that provides the gift of remembrance portraits to
parents experiencing the loss of a baby. For those who wish to celebrate Todd’s life, please
