Tom Banks, age 45, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2014. Survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kim Banks; fathers, Tom Banks and Herman Joseph; mother, Paula Joseph; “mom”, Tommie Feltner; brother, Rick (Melody) Joseph; “brother”, Kevin Feltner; sisters, Penny Browning, Tammy (Norman) Causey, Lora (Dan) Harrison, Tammy (Ken) Hahn, Becca (Mark) Buckles; numerous nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Tommy”; and his beloved fur baby, Monty. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Fay Banks and father-in-law, Alvy Feltner.
Tom joined Sony Music Nashville in 1997 and was promoted to the Vice President of Finance in April 2007. He was instrumental in helping shape the financial services landscape within the company for 14 years. Prior to joining the company, Tom was employed as Auditor of Corporate Income Tax for the state of Kentucky.
Tom was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Tom’s favorite quote “Fortune favors the bold” epitomizes how he lived his life and approached his battle with cancer. He still considered himself to be supremely blessed. He never lost faith, if anything, it only made his faith stronger.
Family and friends will gather from twelve thirty until two thirty in the afternoon on Thursday, the 7th of August, 2014 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Pastor Paul Shield, will follow at two thirty in the afternoon in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall
