Vera M. Taylor, age 84 of Nashville, passed away October 10th, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Vera was born in Dickson, TN on January 3, 1933. Her husband of 49 years, Thomas E. Taylor, preceded her in death in 2000. She lived independently after his passing. Lovingly known as "Mammie" to her family, Vera spent the majority of her working years as a meat wrapper for various grocery stores. She later worked as a parking attendant at St. Thomas Hospital until she retired. She will be mostly remembered for how she cared for others, and for her love of God, His birds, and gardens. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Open visitation will be held on Saturday, October, 14th at Westwood Baptist Church (6100 Charlotte Pike) from 12pm – 2pm. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm. Interment will follow immediately in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens on Highway 100.
