Vernise Page Carpenter Age 100, passed away October 1, 2015 in Hermitage, TN. Mrs. Carpenter is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Carpenter. Survived by her son, Dewey Carpenter (Christine), grandchildren, Glenda Faye Morris (Randy); Sherry Diane Carpenter; great-grandchildren, B.J. Morris, Matthew Monday; great-grandchildren, Logan Morris, Savannah Morris; sister, Artell Smith and several nieces and a nephew. Mrs. Carpenter was a lifetime member of Scenic View Baptist Church in Nashville. Funeral service will be held 3PM Friday, October 2, 2015 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Reed officiating. Pallbearers include: Randy Morris, B.J. Morris, Bruce Reed, Fred Traynham, Logan Morris and Matthew Monday. Honorary Pallbearers include: Chris Kriatsas, Robert Robertson, Albert Hindman, Donnie Sexton, Mike Vaughn and Deacons of Scenic View Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held today from 12-3 prior to the service at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
