Virginia was born in Sioux City, Iowa, where she graduated from Central High School. After graduation she took the civil service test and moved with a friend to Washington, DC where she worked at the pentagon. She continued working there as World War II began. It was in Washington DC that she met her husband Harold, and they were married in 1942. They moved to several cities during their earlier years of marriage. In the early 1970’s she decided to continue her education at Memphis State University where she received a degree in business. As Harold’s health declined, they moved to Nashville in September 2000, and Harold passed away in March 2005. She is survived by a Daughter, Susan. The Funeral will be held Friday April 6 at 1:00 pm Officiated by Walt Leaver. Visitation will be Thursday April 5 from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm and Friday one hour prior to the funeral, burial will be in the Woodlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape.
