

Age 67 of Nashville, went to her new home in heaven in the early morning of May 28 after a long illness.
Wanda was born on November 15, 1945 in New Orleans and raised in Chalmette, LA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Saubat Landry and Lester J. Landry, Sr. and a brother, Lt Col Lester J. (Alice) Landry, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Kenneth W. Conley; brothers, Walter R. (Lou) Landry of Kenner, LA and Larry L. (Christine) Landry of New Orleans; sister-in-law, Debbie D. Conley of Waterford, MI; brother-in-law, William B. Conley of St. Clair Shores, MI; eleven adoring nieces and nephews and sixteen grandnieces and grandnephews.
Wanda was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she was a member of many groups and ministries: Ladies Guild, Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Craft Ministry and Hospitality Committee.
She also was an RCIA sponsor, a Eucharistic Minister and with her husband served as Lead Couple of the Engaged Couples Ministry and as Head Sacristans. Wanda was the Knights of Sparta’s Queen Sparta XXIX in 1980.
Wanda worked at EENT Hospital and then Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans from the age of 19 until she moved to Nashville in 2002 at which time she transferred to University Medical Center in Lebanon, TN.
Her family wishes to extend thanks to all who gave care and comfort to Wanda over these past nine years: friends, family, co-workers, Dr. Lester Porter, employees of TN Oncology, St. Thomas Hospital, UMC and many others. A special thank you to the angels that work in the Oncology and Special Care Units at St. Thomas for treating Wanda with such respect, tenderness and love in her final days.
Visitation will be at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 with Rosary at 7:30. The funeral mass will take place at St. Ann Catholic Church at 11:00 with visitation from 10 to 10:50.
Burial will be on Monday, June 3 at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, LA where visitation will take place in the funeral parlor from 10 to 12 followed by a memorial service at noon.
