William C Bennett

BENNETT, William C. age 87 of Nashville, December 22, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Azalea Bennett; sister, Dorothy Bennett Clingan. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Rowena Norwood Bennett; sons, Frank (Jan) Bennett of Nashville, TN, John (Betty) Bennett of Memphis, TN; grandsons, Franklin (Reid) Bennett of Nashville, Lee (Aileen) Bennett of Nashville; granddaughters, Laura Bennett of Nashville, Robin (Jeremy) Ramsey of Memphis, Megan (Jeremy) Kreimer of Memphis; great granddaughters, Lane Bennett of Nashville and Reese Ramsey of Memphis. Mr. Bennett was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ for 42 years. He served his country in the Army Air Corps, 13th Fighter Command from 1942 to 1946 in the AP Theater, Philippine Liberation; Rank T-5. He retired from Beatrice Foods Company (Meadow Gold Ice Cream) where he worked as an accountant for 26 years. Funeral service will be conducted ten a.m. the morning of Tuesday December 27, 2011 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Bro. Randall Pardue officiating, interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Monday December 26, from three to seven p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hillsboro Church of Christ, Youth Encouragement Services (YES) or the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
