William "Bill" Haralson Hassell

Preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Whitaker Hassell; father, Frank Augusta Hassell Sr.; mother, Thelma Haralson Hassell; aunts, Mildred Harris and Margaret Haralson; brother, Frank A. Hassell Jr. and sister, Betty Jean Hassell.

Survived by son, Dr. Mike Hassell (Melanie) of Carthage, TN; daughter, Melissa (Greg) Ericson of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Jared and Joel Hassell, Whitney (Steve) O’Halek; Drew and Emily Ericson.

Mr. Hassell was a 1947 graduate of East Nashville High School a graduate of the Nashville School of Preaching. Mr. Hassell was a United States Postman for 30 years. He was also a Church of Christ minister for 50 years serving at Cedar Grove, Greenbrier, and Scottsboro Churches of Christ and a current longtime member and associate minister at 11th Street Church of Christ in Nashville.

Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, February 8, 2016 at one thirty, Mt. Olivet Funeral Chapel. Gathering of family and friends will be from ten o’clock until one o’clock on Monday prior to the service.
