William Steven “Steve” Sweeney, of Franklin, TN, passed away on July 25, 2011. Mr. Sweeney was the son of the late Joe Andrew and Flora Lee Cobb Sweeney. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Patty Sweeney, who passed away earlier this year. He is survived by his daughters, Ann Ragsdale (Will), Amy Deaner (Bill) and Emily Stricklin (Adrien); sister, Mary Anne King (Jimmy); brother, Andy Sweeney (Jan); grandchildren, Caitlin, Hailey and Will Ragsdale, Abbie Deaner, Aidan and Ellis Stricklin. Memorial service will be at 11:30 the morning of Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Mr. Sweeney was an avid Univ. of Alabama football fan and dog lover. He was a long time employee of BellSouth and former employee of the State of Tennessee.
