William B. White

WHITE, William B. "Bill"- Age,88 of Paducah, Kentucky, formerly Hermitage, Tn. passed to his permanent address and met Jesus on August 27, 2010. Born September 1, l92l in Jefferson, Georgia to Herman and Jewell White. He enlisted in The Army Air Corp and graduated from flight school, which began his love for flying. Bill served as flight instructor through World War II and Korea. After active duty and Air Force Reserves, he retired and worked as a private pilot in Georgia before beginning his career in the Federal Aviation Administration. Bill was an active member of McKendree United Methodist Church in Nashville for over thirty five years .Bill will be forever re-united with Margery, the true love of his life, and wife of 63 years. He leaves behind sons Rodney (Phyllis) White and Robert Lemuel White of Paducah; granddaughters Kelli Cash (Jacob) and Lacy White; great grandsons Trevor Hayden and Cayden Cash of Paducah. Funeral service will be held at Woodlawn Saturday September 4, 2010 with visitation from 9:30-11:30 and service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gideons International, Paducah South Camp, Paducah, Kentucky, 42001 or the charity of your choice.
