Willie Leona Thomas Knotts

Mrs. Willie Leona Thomas Knotts, age 91, of Nashville, TN, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016. Mrs. Knotts was born in Savannah, TN, on April 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Henry Earl Thomas and Mary Virginia McFall Thomas. She moved to Nashville, TN, when she was eighteen years old from Savannah, TN. Mrs. Knotts was an active member of Crievewood Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knotts was preceded in death by her husband, Cullum Knotts and a brother, Robert Earl Thomas. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Gaylon) King and Linda Knotts; three brothers, Joe Thomas, Frank (Bobbie) Thomas, and David (Nell) Thomas; sister-in-law, Dot Thomas; a step-granddaughter, Holly Patel; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 2:30 P.M., Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Thursday from ten o’clock until one o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Knotts requested that memorial contributions be made to Crievewood Baptist Church, 480 Hogan Road, Nashville, TN 37220; Susan G.
