Xiomara Daleyza Lara Ortiz

Xiomara Daleyza Lara Ortiz passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 2. She was born on January 22, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Tai’Nisha Ridley and Jason Lara Ortiz. Though her time was far too short, Xiomara’s presence was a gift—tender, radiant, and unforgettable—leaving behind a love that will continue to lift and carry all who knew her.

From the moment she entered this world, Xiomara filled every room with love, laughter, and happiness. She was remarkably bright for her age, speaking and counting in both English and Spanish, and she started walking very early—already eager to explore everything around her. There was a gentle sweetness to her, paired with a spirited sense of adventure that made even ordinary moments feel like celebrations.

Xiomara’s favorite things to do were sing, dance, and eat, and she delighted in the simple joys that made her smile. Popsicles, chips, candy, and chicken nuggets were among her favorite treats. She was lovingly “the spoiled child,” with everyone happily wrapped around her little finger—because it was impossible not to be moved by her warmth, her bright smile, and the compassion she seemed to share so freely, even at such a young age.

She especially loved going to her mom’s job, running around the store while everybody chased after her—turning the day into a lively, lighthearted memory for all who witnessed it. Xiomara loved her family deeply, and whenever she saw one of them, she would yell their name and run to them with a hug and a smile. In those moments, her cherished and beloved spirit shone clearly: openhearted, faithful in her love, and full of comfort-giving joy.

Xiomara was preceded in death by Antonio Duncan, Leondrae Ridley, Sr., and Jasmin Lara.

Xiomara leaves to cherish her memories her parents, Tai’Nisha Ridley and Jason Lara Ortiz; her grandparents, Stannisha Battle, Gisela Lara, and Yanley Hernandez; her uncles, Leondrae Ridley, Jr., Le’ Jameon Ridley, Le’Draws Ridley, Jaden Lara, and Antwan Duncan; and her aunt, Leondria Ridley. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on August 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on August 8, 2026, at 10:30 am.

Aunque su tiempo fue demasiado corto, la presencia de Xiomara fue un regalo—tierna, radiante e inolvidable—dejando tras de sí un amor que seguirá elevando y sosteniendo a todos los que la conocieron.

Los helados de palito, las papas fritas, los dulces y los nuggets de pollo estaban entre sus antojos favoritos. Con cariño era “la niña consentida”, y todos estaban felices envueltos alrededor de su dedo meñique—porque era imposible no conmoverse con su calidez, su sonrisa luminosa y la compasión que parecía compartir con tanta libertad, incluso a tan corta edad.

Le encantaba especialmente ir al trabajo de su mamá, correr por la tienda mientras todos la perseguían—convirtiendo el día en un recuerdo animado y alegre para todos los que lo presenciaban. Xiomara amaba profundamente a su familia y, cada vez que veía a alguno de ellos, gritaba su nombre y corría hacia esa persona con un abrazo y una sonrisa. En esos momentos, su espíritu querido y amado brillaba con claridad: de corazón abierto, fiel en su amor y lleno de una alegría reconfortante.

Xiomara fue precedida en la muerte por Antonio Duncan, Leondrae Ridley, Sr., y Jasmin Lara.

Xiomara deja para atesorar su memoria a sus padres, Tai’Nisha Ridley y Jason Lara Ortiz; a sus abuelas y abuelos, Stannisha Battle, Gisela Lara y Yanley Hernandez; a sus tíos, Leondrae Ridley, Jr., Le’ Jameon Ridley, Le’Draws Ridley, Jaden Lara y Antwan Duncan; y a su tía, Leondria Ridley. También le sobreviven muchos otros familiares y amigos.
