November 8, 1965 – August 27, 2026
Yvonne Michelle Bostick, 60, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 8, 1965, and graduated from Smyrna High School.
To know Yvonne was to know someone who was completely, unapologetically herself. She was stubborn, really stubborn, and she would probably tell you that was one of her best qualities. She was matter-of-fact, had absolutely no filter, and was never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. You always knew where you stood with Yvonne, whether you asked for her opinion or not, and somehow, even when you didn’t want to hear it, she was usually right or we at least made her believe she was.
Underneath that strong personality was an enormous heart and a love for her family that knew no limits. Yvonne’s greatest passion was her family. Being a wife, mother, and Mimi was her favorite role in life, and she loved her family fiercely. She was the kind of woman who would protect the people she loved at any cost. If you were hers, you were hers, and she would fight like hell to make sure you were okay.
Yvonne shared a beautiful life and an even more beautiful story with her husband, Marvin Bostick. Together, they built a family, a life, and Future Energy Management Services, the company they owned and built side by side. Yvonne was not afraid of hard work. She worked tirelessly, loved hard, and gave everything she had to the people and things that mattered most to her.
She found joy in the things that brought people together. She loved Christmas, celebrations, crafts, guns, and just about any body of water, but she would never go in too deep because she couldn't trust what she didn't see. She loved making memories, being surrounded by the people she loved, and finding something to celebrate.
Above all, Yvonne loved being a wife, a mother, and a Mimi. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Marvin; her two children, Savannah and Taye; and her granddaughter, Vivienne, who held a very special place in her heart.
Yvonne would not want us to spend our time only mourning the fact that she is gone. She would want us to celebrate the 60 years we were lucky enough to have her. The memories, the laughter, the arguments, the holidays, the stories, the lessons, and all the moments that made her who she was.
She would want us to laugh when we remember the things she said, roll our eyes at her stubbornness, smile at the memories she left behind, and probably hear her voice in our heads telling us to stop being so damn sad.
Yvonne lived her life on her own terms, with strength, honesty, hard work, love, and absolutely no filter. She was one of a kind, and there will never be another quite like her. She will always be loved, extremely missed, and we will celebrate her for the rest of our lives.
So don’t say goodbye to Yvonne with only tears. She would want us to always tell the truth because in her words, "Damnit, sometimes the truth hurts." Always laugh a little too loud because as she would always say, "Who cares what people think?" Always celebrate Christmas a little harder because like she said year after year, "Santa will always be real..say what you want." Get near the water, but remember, "Don't go in too deep now, you can't see shit and Lord only knows what's out there." We were lucky to have 60 years of her so like she would say, “Celebrate her in whatever damn way you want to, as long as it's a celebration.”
