Abel Osuna Bernal was born on August 11, 1967, in Gilroy, California, to Ruben and Josefina Bernal. On August 7, 2026, just days before his 59th birthday, Abel passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and a family who loved him deeply.

Abel was a devoted husband to his wife, Gloria, and a loving father to his children, Melin, Yessenia, Amaris, Jose, Adrian, Lourdes, and Abel. His family meant everything to him, and one of his greatest joys in life was being a grandfather "tata".

He loved his grandchildren dearly and held a special place in his heart for each of them: Issac, Delila, Marquis, Zayne, Kenneth, Elijah, Adelina, Ezekiel, Xavier, Mateo, and Camilla. He was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Azalea.

Those who knew Abel will remember his sense of humor, his jokes, and his ability to bring laughter to the people around him. He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time outdoors. Hunting and fishing were more than hobbies for Abel; they were opportunities to spend time with family, make memories, tell stories, and enjoy the company of those he loved. He shared many of those adventures with his brothers and family over the years.

Abel is survived by his mother, Josefina; his wife, Gloria; his children; his grandchildren; his great-granddaughter; and his siblings, Carlos and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Bernal, and his siblings, Ruben, Joel, Rosario, Lourdes, and Maribel.

Although Abel is no longer here with us, his humor, his stories, and the memories he created will live on through his family and everyone whose life he touched.

We can picture Abel reunited with his father, brothers, and sisters who went before him—together again, sharing stories and laughter like old times.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Until we meet again.
