Celia was born on Nov . 24th 1940 to William and Jennie Esquivel. Celia was the first born of 3. She was born in national city, CA. She went by the nick name Tonchi given to her by her brother Edward as a child. She grew up in national city where she graduated high school then attend cosmetology school. She then would marry her childhood friend Thomas Gonzales ( Zebra) they married in Feb 1964. Few years later they started their family. Their first born of 3 boys was Lawrence, Peter then Thomas Gonzales. The Gonzales family relocated to San Pedro, CA in 1978 where celia lived until she passed away.
