

On March 29, 1939, Cesar was born to Prudencio & Isabel Sanchez in Ginoog, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan De Oro, Philippines. He was the 2nd child and only boy in a family with 4 children.
Cesar was very devoted to the service of the Catholic church. During his youth he served as altar server whenever he could. As an adult, he continued his service to the church in various roles as a Lector, a preacher, joining choir groups and leading numerous prayer groups. He also participated in many groups and organizations providing various services to the church.
Cesar was a student scholar during his youth and sometimes was sponsored by various companies in his studies like in the 1950s, where he attended St Christopher Academy in Nasipit, Agusan Del Norte, Philippines and was a scholar for Nasipit Lumber.
Cesar graduated from University of the East in the Philippines in 1965 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was President of the Student Body and was an active participant in the operations of the school newspaper. In 1961, while performing an assignment for the school newspaper, he met Leonila Loyola De Los Reyes, who was also a student and worked as a secretary for the newspaper.
After a 5-year courtship, Cesar and Leonila were married on May 1st, 1966 in Malate Catholic Church in Manila, Philippines and raised 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys.
During his career, Cesar worked for various companies in sales and marketing and became a Trade Representative for the Philippine government and was sent to other countries to market Philippine products. He also worked as an exporter of various Philippine furniture products to other countries. He worked for Prudential Life before immigrating to the United States in 2008 and retiring in San Diego and National City.
During retirement and before God’s call to heaven, Cesar remained active at St Mary’s Catholic Church in National City where he continued his service to the church, as a Lector, a preacher, a member of the choir group, a leader in various prayer groups, a friend and a brother to many.
